Terms of Service
Effective: 2026-09-24 · Version 1.1
These terms apply to your use of the Jive mobile app and website as a guest. The service is provided by Antek Marek (operating as Jive), the Netherlands ("Jive", "we"). Contact: hello@parallelcohesion.com. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use Jive
You must be 18 or older. You confirm this by entering your date of birth at sign-up.
2. What Jive does
Jive lets you claim discount QR codes for parties at participating venues. A code is single-use and valid for one event. You show it at the door, the venue scans it, and you pay the venue the discounted price. You pay the venue, not Jive. Jive is free for guests.
3. What Jive does not do
- Jive does not sell tickets and does not collect any door payment.
- Jive does not guarantee admission. Entry, dress code and ID checks are decided by the venue, which is also responsible for age checks under the Dutch Alcoholwet.
- The event, the price and the discount are set by the venue. If a venue cancels or changes an event, we will try to notify you in the app.
4. The +1 link
You may share one +1 link per claim with one friend. The link works once and expires when the event ends. Forwarding it more widely does not create more admissions — only the first use counts.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Sell or otherwise commercialise QR codes or +1 links.
- Scrape, probe or attempt to break the Jive systems.
- Impersonate someone else or claim discounts in bad faith.
- Use Jive for anything unlawful.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules we may suspend or close your account. We will tell you why, and you can object by email.
6. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Jive and delete your account at any time, free of charge, in the app (Profile → Delete account) or via jive.parallelcohesion.com/delete-account. This also covers your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. A claimed discount has no cash value and is not refundable — nothing was paid for it.
7. Our responsibility
We work to keep Jive available and accurate, but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We are not a party to your visit to a venue and are not responsible for a venue's decisions or conduct, including refusing entry or not honouring a discount. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights under Dutch consumer law, including your rights if the app does not work as it should, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
8. Reporting illegal content
Event listings are provided by venues. To report a listing you believe is illegal, email hello@parallelcohesion.com with a link to it and your reasons. We act on reports promptly and let you know what we decided. This address is also our point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act; we communicate in Dutch and English.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. This does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory law of the EU country where you live. If you have a complaint, email us first; if we cannot resolve it, you may take it to the competent court under the law — as a consumer, you can always go to the court where you live.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
